 Introduction
The Tavern Alumni Association respects each individual’s right to personal privacy.  We will collect and use information through our Web site only in the ways disclosed in this statement.  This statement applies solely to information collected at Tavern Alumni Association's Web site.

Part I.  Information Collection
The
Tavern Alumni Association collects information through our Web site at several points.  We collect the following information about primary visitors:
name, address, email address, and phone numbers.

We may also collect information which our users divulge about other people, such as the name of fellow Tavern employees. The Tavern Alumni Association does not actively market to children, and we never knowingly ask a child under 13 to divulge personal information.

We verify the accuracy of our information by confirmation with the Penn State Alumni Association and the Tavern Restaurant employee records.

We collect this information through our registration forms at our Membership web page.  Data collected at that page includes name, address, email address, phone number, graduation date, and dates of Tavern employment].  The information is collected voluntarily.  To receive our alumni newsletter, email address is mandatory because we do not usually send out hard copy correspondence.  Other information we request is optional.  

We do not employ cookies.

We do not have banner advertising on our website.

Part II.  Information Usage.
The information collected by The Tavern Alumni Association will be used for to build a network of former Tavern employees.  Users who provide information will receive email announcements from The Tavern Alumni Association.

Registered users will receive additional announcements from us about alumni events, meetings, and our scholarship program. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications.

The information we collect will not be used to create customer profiles based on browsing or purchasing history.  We will supplement information collected at our Web site with data from the Penn State Alumni Association..

We will share data with the Penn State Alumni Association.  These Penn State Alumni Association may use the information to solicit memberships. 

We offer links to other Web sites.  Please note: When you click on links to other Web sites, we encourage you to read their privacy policies.  Their standards may differ from ours.

Our Web site plans to offer forums and/or message boards].  Please be advised that information posted in these venues becomes public knowledge.  

If our policy on information collection or uses changes, will advise you by email communication and posting to this site.

Part III.  Access to Information
The Tavern Alumni Association maintains the accuracy of our information by verification with the Penn State Alumni Association and the Tavern Restaurant employee records.  Users may access their own personal information and contact us about inaccuracies they may find by forwarding an email message to president@tavernalum.org

Part IV. Problem Resolution
If problems arise, users may contact The Tavern Alumni Association by email to president@tavernalum.org.  We are committed to resolving disputes within one week.
